Facing Adversity
We’re free to choose how to handle adversity. We can allow ourselves to be crushed, to give up, and to feel sorry for ourselves. Or we can persevere, and make the most out of what life deals us.
The choice is yours. I choose to pick myself up and deal with what life hands us. I know what I tried in the past did not work, I used to choose to allow it to crush me, and I would feel so sorry for myself. It lead to a paralysis where I did nothing about my situation. Obviously that did not work as it kept me stuck in the same situation, feeling depressed and unable to control my life.
When I was finally to the point where I no longer wanted to live, I learned to pray. Straight from my heart I begged God to show me the way and remove all my triggers and temptations. This line of thought allowed me to achieve 12 years of sobriety. God answered my prayers and just like that I was so much happier. God hears and answers our prayers of that I have no doubt. He did it for me and he will do it for you if he is asked. God is a way maker, a dream maker, and a healer.
Rattling nice layout and wonderful subject material, practically nothing else we want : D.
