what to do when you loose hope.

What to do if you lose hope

I don’t know what circumstances you find yourself in reading this, but I do know that if you find yourself losing hope right now, there are some things that you should know. I know no one likes darkness and lonely thoughts. The recent events in our world have left us isolated and in a state of disrepair. But, we are not alone. Jesus is right there beside us, he hears all of our thoughts, knows of our troubles, and hears even silent tears. When you start to lose hope, life starts to get pretty overwhelming. Every single little thing that happens can start to become a big deal. .Outlined below are some things you can do to get your hope back. When you have hope you feel better about life.

1. It’s so important to remind yourself that you’re still here, alive and among the living. Whatever it is that has caused you to lose hope hasn’t ended you. It hasn’t crushed you. It hasn’t completely wiped you out. You are a survivor!!! Your future is still intact and bright. And that is pretty awesome.

2. Don’t lose sight of the love in your world. If you’re not seeing it, really stop and think about it. You may be surprised, and no doubt helped, by those in your world who are there for you. Make it a point to talk to your friends, and thank them for being there for you….reach out to them, pick up that heavy phone.

3. Listen carefully to your self-talk. What are you telling yourself when no one is listening? Keep your self-talk positive and open.

4. Don’t sell yourself short. Recognize your boundaries, yes, but don’t shortchange what you’re able to be, and in fact what you are already, giving at this moment right here. Learn to reach out to others when you can. If you see someone struggling ask yourself how can you help them. Offer to pray for them, or just listen to what they have to say. Be a sincere ear to them.

5 Remember there is so much more around you. There is a purpose beyond what you’re able to see happening right now. Your life has a purpose and it’s up to you to discover it. Make these changes, and you will start to see the results. Don’t expect miraculous changes overnight. Celebrate your small victories and changes. Recognize the effort it takes to make a change in your life. You are not alone, God is right there beside you, have conversations with him, when you are struggling. Your miracle is closer than you realize. The steps you’re taking now are groundwork in helping and changing you in the next part of the plan for your life. Don’t give out just before you make it. The night is always darkest just before dawn. And the coming of the dawn is guaranteed. Have a blessed day.

Love and prayers Patty.
